The charming English countryside will be our subject matter for this workshop. The Lake District is England’s largest national park, a UNESCO World Heritage site with stunning landscapes.
In this workshop we will begin by composing our views. I’ll share some of the principles of composition in order to guide your decision on composing your painting. Once a view is chosen, a small value study is an invaluable next step. I will demonstrate painting a value study in 3-4 values. As we begin to paint in full color, I will demonstrate color mixing and matching to the landscape we are painting. I will assist each one of you individually as you are working on your painting. And whether you paint the vast landscape or an intimate detail of nature, the beauty of the Lake District will be memorable!
