Based in the centre of the English Lake District National Park, which has been recently awarded World Heritage status, you will be working amongst some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world. During this watercolour workshop we will be covering the major elements of landscape painting represented by the lakes, mountains, valleys and local architecture in this diverse yet compact area.
All the venues are chosen with care to encompass as much of the natural beauty of the Lake District, while being easily accessible. You will visit local villages and farms as well open landscapes and lakeside settings.
Painting locations will include the villages of Ambleside and Troutbeck, Lake Windermere, Rydal Water, The Langdale Valley and many more. The actual daily locations will vary depending upon weather conditions but at this time of year there should be an extremely large choice.
As well as the usual painting gear, a waterproof jacket and strong boots should be a consideration, although these are in plentiful supply within yards of your hotel.
